Going Lovely is a San Francisco Bay Area based event design and coordination partnership. Not many people enjoy every aspect of planning an event as much as we do. From the initial chat about your dream event, to customizing your stationery and handcrafting your favors, we fuss over the details so you don’t have to! We like to think that our shared passion for creativity, attention to every last detail, and unique backgrounds make us quite the duo. So check out our site, follow our blog, and shoot us an email. We can’t wait to hear your story and help make sure that your event is going lovely!
Have you ever met someone and within minutes you just knew you’d be great friends?Well that’s exactly what happened with us. It didn’t take but two sips into our first coffee date for the light bulb to go off.
After chatting about our likes and loves, we swapped the unique and personalized details from our own weddings (which we both absolutely loved planning). We quickly decided that we are a creative match made in heaven! We share the same passion for applying our individual creativity in everything we do. From sprucing up an ordinary blouse with spunky buttons, to personalizing our homes with DIY projects, to designing a whimsical dessert table, we just love making everything we touch lovely!
I absolutely LOVE details. Seriously! I think it’s the little things that make a project truly unique. I love taking old things and making them new again. I’ve learned a thing or two about turning ordinary objects and materials into works of art from my time as a visual display coordinator at Anthropologie and a visual stylist at Bloomingdales. I’m always on the lookout for the next creative challenge and am constantly thinking how to transform the average into unique. I can design a mean table setting, I never step out the front door without my hot glue gun, and am rarely seen without a smile on my face.
I like to think of myself as the yin to PJ’s yang. I’m the big picture thinker. I’ve spent the past six years in operations management for two of Silicon Valley’s largest companies, Cisco and Facebook. Climbing the corporate ladder, I’ve mastered the art of juggling responsibilities while always delivering successful results. As much as I love a good power suit and corporate buzzwords, my real passion cannot be found in a cubicle. I love working with my hands: crafting, planning, discovering new things. I can spend hours in a flower mart, I’m quirky, spontaneous and sometimes overly friendly, and I’m a self proclaimed blog junkie.
