Gallery Wall Goodness
Gallery walls are all over design blogs and Pinterest these days and I’ve jumped on the bandwagon. They are such a great way to display your favorite pictures and prints and can fill up an empty wall space that would typically require a large piece of art.
In our bedroom/loft, we had a canvas that we’d bought when we were furnishing our first place together. I’m actually surprised lasted as long as it did, because boy, has our style evolved (we’ve also replaced the bedding as you’ll see below).
It was super simple! We used black and white Ikea frames in varying sizes and followed the tutorial from my favorite bloggers over at Young House Love – just cut out some newspaper in the sizes of your frames and tape them in the order you want the gallery wall arranged. Then just hammer in your nail, hang your pictures, and remove the tape! Done!

I’m pretty happy with how our gallery wall turned out.
Framed invitation from our wedding and a map of our neighborhood in San Francisco.
Mounted picture – our ‘first dance’ from our wedding.
Engagement pictures, picture of our nephews (including some Photo Booth fun) and one of my favorite pictures form our wedding (that we also got mounted as a gift from my mom).
The picture on the left was a Christmas gift I got the Mr. from Etsy. Gotta make sure we have adequate Wazzu swag in the house.
I love this wall now. Such a great view to wake up to every morning.
