Colorful Yosemite Wedding

TGIF friends! We’re kicking off the weekend with a recap of a gorgeous (if we do say so ourselves!) wedding we did this past spring. There are so many things that we love about our job, but to name one, we love that each wedding provides new experiences!  This past May, we had the opportunity to plan our first traditional Indian wedding! We drove out to picturesque Yosemite for Dhanya and Nayan’s 2 day celebration. On Saturday night, guests enjoyed a traditional Indian Sangeet, where they ate delicious Indian food, watched choreographed dances, and got henna tattos applied to their hands. On Sunday, guests loaded up on a shuttle and were taken on a scenic route (half dome included!) to the wedding ceremony at the beautiful Ahwahnee Hotel.  Bright sunset colors were infused in the florals and decor and were contrasted against the breathtaking, green backdrop of Yosemite. The talented Shotgun Floral Studio team killed it by designing some of the most heavenly florals we’ve ever seen. Seriously. They also designed whimsical paper goods that tied in the woodsy details of the pretty murals lining the walls of the venue. We incorporated the bride and groom’s love of travel by designing an adventure book that doubled as a guest book  and the dining tables were named after places they’ve travelled together. We also designed a hanging escort card installation to provide an interactive way for guests to find their seat, and attached to each escort card was a colorful tassel they could keep.
