Thanksgiving Tablescape
Who else is as excited for Thanksgiving as we are?! While I love Christmas, I have to say Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It’s a time to gather with friends and family, eat amazing food, and reflect on what you’re thankful for. Doesn’t get much better than that.
It’s been almost a year now since we bought our first home (promise to get some before and afters and a house tour soon) and I am so excited to open it up and host our first Thanksgiving here with our closest family and some friends.
A first hosted Thanksgiving calls for a festive tablescape – am I right?! I finally broke out our Kate Spade wedding china, picked up a new runner from Anthropologie and scored on some vintage goblets from eBay and the Frances Lane sale a few weeks back. The eucalyptus was a $4.50 score at Safeway which I placed in the center of the table for a natural and organic vibe. The feather looking things came from my backyard, the dried billy balls were taken from other vases in my house and the mini pumpkins were a Trader Joe’s find. I kept them natural, but I think they would have been fun spray painted silver too. The candles and holders are a Target find and the gold mercury votives were leftovers from a wedding. I used a few different colors of linens to spice things up a bit and alternated them around the table. The ‘Give Thanks’ banner was made by some leftover gold letters that I think were an old buy at Paper-Source. Oh and the table is the Reclaimed Wood Expandable Table from West Elm. I’ll be adding a leaf to seat two more- so excited!
We have so much to be thankful for this year over at Going Lovely. We’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing couples and vendors that have now become our friends. Thank you to all the couples who were kind enough to let us help build a vision for their special day. Thank you to all the vendors who helped us bring their vision to life- we could never do it alone! Thank you to our friends and family for your love and support over this last year. We can’t wait to see what is to come and hope that you all take time during this holiday season to think about what you are thankful for!

Oh and for fun – here’s a little ‘BEFORE’ pic of the dining room. Amazing what some paint and new fixtures can do, right?!
