A Handmade Wedding Gift

My friends John and Heather are getting married this coming Saturday, and I wanted to make something to go along with their gift. I pinned this idea on Pinterest a while ago, and decided it’s the perfect to to make one for them! 

Cut the wedding invitation into strips using a blade and ruler. Make sure to do this on top of a self healing mat so that you don’t ruin your table!

Take the strips of paper and wrap tightly wrap them one by one around a pen.

After you’ve wrapped all the paper into little curly cues, gently stuff them into a clear ornament. I got mine at Hobby Lobby for $5 for a pack of 4. (Remember to look up their deals and coupon codes!)

After stuffing all the curly cues into the ornament, I put the the top back on and tied on some ribbon so they could hang it on their first Christmas tree as a married couple! I know…it’s only March, but what’s wrong with a little thinking ahead? Congratulations John and Heather, we love you both and are so excited to celebrate with you!
